Friday Coffee with Danae #5 – The Good Autumn Days

September 26, 2025September 26, 2025 Danae Comments Off on Friday Coffee with Danae #5 – The Good Autumn Days

Happy Friday, everyone! 🍁

Well, you know it already: it’s time for our weekly wrap-up, so get comfortable and have some coffee! What are you having today? It’s finally hot French press coffee time for me! ❤️

We made it to the end of another week, and that’s always a nice feeling. September is also nearing its end, and it’s been some month. There have been many things happening around the world, and, personally, I felt like September had a lot of ups and downs – but (luckily) mostly ups.

Today, it has finally started feeling like autumn here. The temperature has been between 19C and 24C and the weather is rainy. I honestly adore it, and I’m incredibly grateful I’m not working out of home this year. I’ve been looking forward to spending this autumn at home, enjoying the slow and cozy moments that naturally come with this season.

My Weekly Recap

It’s been a good week. I’ve made progress with my goals, I’ve been following (not religiously) some habits and routines, and I’ve felt okay and way less anxious than the previous weeks. Overall, a win-win situation.

I’m rating this week… 4 out of 5 stars.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Progress This Week

  • I’ve written more than 10k words so far! I’m hopeful I’ll be able to complete my monthly writing goal of 15k words.
  • I finally did some adulting and bought a roadside assistance plan for my car – and gosh, I hate everything driving.
  • I took better care of my mental health by consistently practicing affirmations and doing a few meditations.
  • I organized a bookcase after painting the room, and decluttered a bunch of books.
  • I ran a lot of errands – both in and out of the house.
The only autumn vibes I can offer so far.

Some Highlights from This Week

  • I spent a lot of time with my SO. This can be quite challenging when in a long-distance relationship, but this week we were able to make a few calls, play Stardew Valley, and watch some Star Trek together. It’s been amazing! We also celebrated our one year anniversary on Monday – going stronger than ever!
  • I’ve been more active on social media. So, I’ve been looking for ways to both promote my writing more and connect with fellow writers, and yeah, social media seems like the best way to achieve these things at the moment. I’ve been mostly active on X this week, but I also dropped a Tik Tok for some unholy reason, and it gained some attention, so eh… you never know. I’m a woman with a plan #not.
  • I started the most amazing cozy save on Sims 3, with a poor witch and her cat, and I’m obsessed.

What I’m Reading

This week, I started reading Super Attractor: Methods for Manifesting a Life beyond Your Wildest Dreams by Gabrielle Bernstein. I’ve been trying to reconnect with my spiritual side, and this book has been helping me a lot so far.

What I’m Watching

I’m on season 5 of Gilmore Girls, and honestly, I can’t wait to finish this show, so I write a character analysis for Rory Gilmore!

I’m also rewatching Star Trek: The Original Series with my partner. It’s been years since the first time I watched it, and it’s been so fun watching it again with my SO!

A Reminder for the Weekend

This weekend, remember to take some time to rest and recharge before stepping into the new week. if noone has told you, please know that you’ve doing great and please, be kind to yourself.
