Hey, lovelies!
We made it to Friday, and that means it’s time for coffee and our end-of-the-week catch up.
For the story, last Sunday I decided to start a new writing tradition called Coffee with Danae. Nothing fancy, but every Monday and Friday I’ll be posting here to share about goals, updates, and do a general reflection and catch-up. On Monday, I posted on Medium, but I think it’s better to post here. I feel like I have to take my Medium content to a new direction – oh, the woes of content writing.
Check out my Monday blog post:

Anyway, it’s time to grab your coffee and get comfortable. Today I’m having a freddo cappuccino that I bought from a small coffee shop in my neighborhood.

Getting Ready for September
Who else is looking forward to the new season and its fresh energy? I’m gonna be honest: I’m already over this summer.
I have many nice content ideas for September (btw, check out my new blog post! I’m sharing 30 journal prompts for a cozy and intentional September) and I’m working on deciding what my expectations are from this fall.
I’m not at my best. I’m feeling a little tired and still recovering from anxiety. I don’t think I should go big by setting a bunch of goals and working on several new habits.
So, my plan is to decide what my biggest goals are for this autumn, how I envision myself and my life to be at the end of it, and then create a vision board and work on an achievable monthly plan.
The Woes of Being a Woman
This happened to be my menstruation week, and I’ve been struggling a little both physically and mentally. That means I wasn’t as productive as I hoped I’d be. Some days, I’d feel tired and unmotivated, and others borderline sick.
I coped, though. I’ve been trying to work with my body and not against it, and that means that sometimes I’m just taking it slower. It’s okay. I think I’ll be able to catch up next week.
Somehow, I managed
Despite the small issues I faced this week, I made progress with my main goals. I wrote a few posts and pieces that boosted my monthly word count, I spent time with my partner, and I updated the theme of this blog. It honestly went better than I thought.
I’m Not Going Back to Teaching This Year, and I Couldn’t Be More Hyped
I know this might sound off, but I’m grateful for not going back to teaching right now. I mean, I enjoy it and my longest work experience is as a teacher – 8 years of my precious life. My last experience was bad though, (to put it mildly) and it made my mental health go downhill. This summer, I didn’t try to get another teaching job – I didn’t apply to a single one to be completely honest.
I’m looking forward to staying at home, focusing on writing and creating content.
School year is about to start in Greece, and I couldn’t be more excited I don’t have to worry about it this time.
Fun Dilly Dallying Times
Entertainment-wise, I started reading a new book this week: The Death of Socrates by Emily Wilson, and, so far so good. I’m also still watching Gilmore Girls, and ngl, it’s the perfect show for fall. I’m currently on season 4, and it’s honestly started growing on me.
What About You?
How has your week been? How are you feeling for fall being almost here? What are your biggest autumn goals? Feel free to open up and connect in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
